SG Interactive brings Sword of Destiny to online casinos

After introducing its Sword of Destiny title to land-based casinos in July, American gaming machine innovator Scientific Games Corporation has announced that its SG Interactive subsidiary has now released the game as a five-reel, 25-payline online video slot.

Las Vegas-based Scientific Games Corporation explained that the new online casino version of Sword of Destiny is themed around popular existing card and role-playing titles and has been designed ‘to appeal to a fan-base familiar with epic online fantasy games’.

Scientific Games Corporation stated that its Sword of Destiny online variant comes complete with a reel array that can vary between 5×3 and 5×5 while these also randomly expand upwards during the base game to add an additional pair of rows as well as 25 new paylines. It detailed that this will moreover initiate either the Random Wilds, Clumped Wilds or Symbol Upgrade features to provide players with ‘the possibility for big wins’ while injecting the reels with ‘eye-catching art and animation’.

The online video slot version of Sword of Destiny additionally has two bonus games that encompass the multiplying Free Games Bonus, which can be triggered by collecting a trio of scattered X-Zone symbols, while players that get scattered bonus icons on reels one, three and five will ignite the Temple Tower jackpot extravaganza. This sees competitors prompted to select three stones that each contain between one and six steps up a 16-rung ladder. When all picks have been exhausted, competitors will be awarded the prize displayed on their highest step.

“The Temple Tower offers a riveting and satisfying mechanic that expands the scope of the game world and introduces the possibility of huge wins,” read a statement from Scientific Games Corporation.

Tom Wood, Business-to-Business Chief Product Officer for SG Interactive, stated that Sword of Destiny was ‘unique as a land-based title’ but that he was now ‘excited’ to be bringing the game to the ‘real-money online space’.

“This game stands out as a premiere portrait mode title that captures the aura of a high fantasy world and is unlike anything we currently have in our portfolio,” said Wood.
